In this workflow a sequester removal of a herniated disc (lumbar vertebral body L4/L5 is presented. All shown surgical steps were performed on a simulator, see www.realspine.org The simulation training concept was developed at the University of Applied Sciences (HTWK) Leipzig from 2010-2015. It includes as well the preoperative training (with acting patients) and the intraoperative training with the syntetic RealSpine Simulator.
